I have that same problem. The green in the background is strange and it didn't only happen for me on the title screen. In game it was popping up too. It hasn't caused a real problem so I'm just ignoring it for now.

I suppose you could. I wasn't planning on doing anything about it, to be honest. You could try updating drivers and whatnot... or wait for a more educated response here. Technicians here are usually pretty good.

I have a similar problem - only texture is showing red and not green
and parts of my chara, other player's charas, and npcs are invisible
this has happened since the latest update
I have a very good pc that is up to date in everything (double checked that today) and more than meets minimum specs, and I contacted Support. I ran the diagnostic as they advised, I checked I have the latest drivers, which I do - and at the moment they do not have an answer for the problem.

Black Knight I have to agree, the game was working ok until this latest update. I think you should make a report to Support, so they know players are having this sort of trouble, then they may look into it faster.
I'm still trying what I can to sort the problem out (though nothing has worked so far. This includes trying the latest drivers then previous drivers, various display options etc).

Don't fret. I have the same problem after last patch, so let us sit and wait.

That looks like a mip mapping bug. As a temporary fix, you could enable negative LOD bias for Guild Wars in your driver control panel. Be aware, though, that this will skyrocket the requirements for Guild Wars. Anybody with less than 256 MB of video memory should most definitely not do this. Also, anybody with anything less than a Geforce 7600GT or Radeon x1600 should not do this, as it will absolutely kill your game performance.
If you do this, try to have your Anti-Aliasing set to at least 2x, or you will notice a lot of texture shimmering, and that's even uglier than green-tinted landscape.

Black Knight, thank you very much.
I am STILL struggling with this. I have contacted ATI (manufacturers) but they have neglected to reply to me.
I have tried just about all different options now for upgrades and drivers and many errors have occurred.
As I look at my torn out hair on the floor, I have come to something of a conclusion, though it is less than perfect.
I have manually installed drivers onto my graphics card (as the wizards did not work), I have disabled the new hardware found wizard, and I have disabled the "new hardware" that a problem with the ATI driver always throws up.
This means I can now play guild wars - but I do not know what other conflicts this will produce with any other programs.
What I can say is, I am personally not pleased with Guild Wars developers or with ATI developers either - for all of these hassles. And be assured "not pleased" is a euphemism.

With the low reqs GW has, Im not sure that even with negative LoD enabled, youd need a 256MB card. By "kill", do you mean make it unplayable? I have a FX 5900(128MB), have negative LoD enabled, AA and AF at 4X(just experimenting, usually dont have them on at all), and havent had any problems with graphics, or non-connection-based lag.
